Ladder Golf is a fun and competitive throwing game that’s perfect for all ages. Players toss bolas (two golf balls connected by a rope) aiming to wrap them around the steps of the ladder to score points.

History
The official name “Ladder Golf” was registered by Robert Reid, who patented the game in 1999. However, the game itself dates back much further and was originally designed by his father in the 1940s.
Over the years, it has grown in popularity as a backyard and outdoor game, enjoyed at picnics, camping trips, and events around the world.
Playing Ladder Golf
Game setup:To set up Ladder Golf, place the ladder on a flat, stable surface with enough space around it for safe play.
A toss line should then be marked approximately five paces away from the ladder, which is about 15 feet for official games.
Each player or team is given three bolas, and once everyone is ready, the order of play is decided before the game begins.
Rules & How to play: Ladder Golf is played in rounds, with each player tossing all three of their bolas before the next player takes a turn.
Bolas can be thrown in any style, as long as they are tossed one at a time, and they may even bounce before wrapping around the ladder. After all players have
thrown, only the bolas still hanging on the ladder count toward the score, while any that fall off or are knocked off do not count. Players can intentionally
knock off their opponent’s bolas, adding a fun defensive strategy to the game.
Winning the Game:The goal of the game is to be the first player to reach exactly 21 points at the end of a round.
If a player goes over 21, their points for that round do not count, and their score remains the same. A player must be the only one to
reach exactly 21 points to win. In the case of a tie, players continue with additional rounds until one player finishes a round at least
2 points ahead of the other.
