Its giant buckets and playful scale make it a perfect fit for outdoor spaces like parks, backyards, or school fields. Whether you're tossing tennis balls at a summer BBQ or
during a birthday bash, the energy is always high. For kids, it's a chance to move, aim, and get silly with fun challenges like dancing or animal impressions.
For adults, it’s a nostalgic throwback with a fresh twist, and yes — you can make it a party game too! Giant Pong is active but not intense, making it great for mixed age groups.
The teamwork adds a social element, encouraging cheering, high-fives, and good vibes all around. It’s the kind of game that draws a crowd, sparks conversations,
and keeps people playing for hours. Whether you're 6 or 60, Giant Pong delivers oversized fun and unforgettable moments!
Game Setup and Rules
To play Giant Pong, you’ll need 12 large buckets, 2 to 4 tennis balls (regular or soft), and a flat outdoor space like a lawn, park, or driveway.
You can also prepare optional challenge cards for the kid-friendly version of the game.
Start by dividing the 12 buckets into two sets of six. Arrange each set in a triangle formation with three buckets at the back,
two in the middle, and one in the front. Place the two triangles at opposite ends of the play area, approximately 4 meters apart.
You can adjust the distance depending on the players’ ages and skill levels.
Each team stands behind their set of buckets and takes turns throwing a tennis ball, aiming for the buckets on the other side.
When a player lands the ball in a bucket, that bucket is removed from the game. The opposing team then performs a fun challenge (in the kids’ version)
or takes a sip of their drink (in the adult version).
The game continues with teams alternating turns until one team successfully eliminates all six of their opponent’s buckets. The first team to do so wins the game.
For younger players, use softer balls and place the buckets closer together. You can make the game even more fun by adding a challenge each time a bucket is hit —
like dancing, telling a joke, or making animal sounds.
For adults, you can include house rules such as bounce shots counting as two buckets, one re-rack per game, or optional redemption shots.
As always, if playing with drinks, play responsibly and dont drink and drive!
