Fun Factor

Tin Can Throw is fun for all ages because it’s simple, satisfying, and full of action. Whether you're a kid or a kid at heart, there's nothing quite like the thrill of knocking down a tall stack of cans with a well-aimed toss. The loud crash when the cans hit the ground adds instant excitement and makes every successful throw feel like a victory. It’s a game that brings out friendly competition, laughter, and high-fives—whether you’re playing at a backyard barbecue, a birthday party, or just passing time in the sun. With easy setup and endless replayability, it’s the kind of game that keeps everyone coming back for “just one more round.”

Game Setup and Rules

To set up, stack the 10 tin cans into a pyramid shape—4 on the bottom row, then 3, then 2, and finally 1 on top. Place the stack on a flat surface like the ground or a low table.

There’s no strict throwing distance—players can stand as close or as far as they like, depending on age, skill, or just for fun!

Each player takes turns throwing three bean bags at the stack, aiming to knock down as many cans as possible. After all three throws, count how many cans were knocked down and record the score. Restack the pyramid for the next player and keep the game going as long as you'd like.

For shorter games, players can compete in a best of 3 rounds format. For longer, more competitive play, increase the number of rounds and the throwing distance, and see who can score the most points!

Please note: Since the pyramid is large, made sure now spectating children are standing within 1-2 meters while playing!
